MAURO MORO

CONCEPT LEADER - FOUNDER

Dipl. Arch., MSc. Mauro Moro is an architect and design leader with extensive international experience across large-scale, complex architectural and urban projects. His professional career spans multiple cultural and operational contexts, with a significant period based in Singapore, where he led multidisciplinary teams in the development of high-profile, design-driven projects. He led design leadership roles in internationally recognised architectural practices, including HASSELL, Woods Bagot, and WATG, where he was responsible for concept development, design strategy, and the coordination of complex stakeholder environments. In these roles, he consistently guided teams through early-stage visioning, masterplanning, and concept design phases, ensuring strong alignment between design intent, technical feasibility, and project objectives. Mauro’s expertise is centred on concept design, design leadership, and early-stage project definition, with a particular focus on research-driven methodologies that translate client aspirations, contextual constraints, and programmatic requirements into clear, robust architectural strategies. He is highly experienced in managing complexity at scale, balancing design quality with regulatory, environmental, and operational considerations. His design approach is characterised by conceptual clarity, lateral thinking, and strategic vision, aiming to move beyond conventional architectural responses to deliver meaningful, resilient, and future-oriented solutions. He places strong emphasis on process, communication, and collaboration as essential tools for leading large project teams and achieving coherent outcomes. In 2020, he founded Mauro Moro Architecture, an independent practice focused on concept development, feasibility studies, and strategic design advisory services for international clients. Through this platform, he collaborates globally with developers, consultants, and institutions, contributing to projects ranging from mixed-use developments to urban-scale visions. In parallel with professional practice, Mauro contributes to design discourse through selected lectures, workshops, and academic collaborations. He is also a published author and urban sketcher, using research, drawing, and communication as tools to strengthen conceptual thinking and design leadership within the built environment.

Her work focuses on creating environments that balance elegance, functionality, and operational performance, with particular attention to enhancing the guest experience while expressing the unique identity of each property. She has successfully managed projects from early concept through to construction, including the acclaimed Park Hyatt Hadahaa development, and has overseen projects across Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, and the United States. Her experience spans complex, multi-stakeholder environments, requiring close coordination between design teams, consultants, operators, and contractors. Glynis’s professional approach centres on aligning design outcomes with client vision while maintaining rigorous control over programme, budget, and delivery. She adopts a holistic methodology that integrates interior architecture, product development, and operational requirements, ensuring that every design element serves both aesthetic and functional objectives. Recognised for her attention to detail, commitment to quality, and effective project management, Glynis consis- tently translates client aspirations into coherent, buildable solutions. Her work reflects a strong focus on reliability, innovation, and long-term value, positioning her as a trusted partner in the delivery of refined, high-performing hospitality and residential environments.

JOCHUM LEDGISTER

In a previous role at Broadway Malyan, this professional worked across four international offices, contributing to a wide range of large-scale, complex projects. A key engage- ment during this period involved acting as Consultant De- sign Director for IKEA on eight projects, five of which formed part of IKEA’s new global retail direction, requiring close alignment between brand strategy, design innovation, and operational performance. While based in Shanghai, involvement in the Shiu Lu Pu Pow- er Station renovation represented a significant and highly contextual project. Located along the Huangpu River, the project played an important role in the redevelopment narra- tive of Shanghai, responding sensitively to the city’s indus- trial heritage while supporting broader urban transformation objectives. Another major milestone was the 7point8 project in Jakar- ta, a high-profile mixed-use development located within the Jakarta CBD. The project was notable both for its strategic urban location and for its role in repositioning and revitalis- ing the client’s brand, demanding a strong balance between commercial ambition, architectural identity, and delivery constraints. Earlier in the career, leadership of Forum Coimbra in Portu- gal marked a defining experience. This multi-award-winning large retail development was delivered over a three-year period and was distinguished by its use of high-quality ma- terials, rigorous attention to detail, and disciplined project management. This experience established a narrative-led, design-driven approach focused on delivering functional, well-crafted, and people-centred environments through well-managed project processes.
