WILLIAM STREET WHARF: A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL
Derbarl Yerrigan, the Swan River, is the cultural heart of Perth, celebrated in art, literature, and Aboriginal storytelling. William Street Wharf will connect the river to locals and visitors alike.
Situated on the historic 1890s William Street Jetty site, the Wharf will serve as a waterfront gateway to Western Australia, inviting everyone to enjoy its shores and waters for food, relaxation, and celebration.
The design pays homage to the jetty’s history, featuring dynamic forms that transition in scale and texture. A striking amenity floor with an etched copper façade celebrates the Waugel and transforms into a beacon at night.
The Wharf’s architecture responds to the Western Australian environment, with a play of light and shadows created by natural materials. The use of glass, concrete, stone, timber, and copper tones optimizes outdoor living spaces, ensuring stunning views of Elizabeth Quay and beyond for a truly memorable experience.
